„Teisėjas Džeris“ atšauktas po trijų sezonų

NBCUniversal Syndication Studios has announced it is not moving forward on a fourth season of court-themed strip Teisėjas Džeris, which marked the continuation of Jerry Springer in daytime syndication after a 27-year run as host of his self-titled talker.

Mirroring his talk show, which began in 1991 as a hour of politically-oriented banter and morphed into an outrageous parade of tabloid sensationalism in 1994, Teisėjas Džeris focused on the cases that offered pure entertainment value, many chosen from pending small claims cases that were already filed in jurisdictions across the United States.

Premiering as the highest-rated syndicated court show premiere in five years in the fall of 2019, Teisėjas Džeris plunged to a 0.4 household rating this season to-date, according to Nielsen Media Research. Comparably, that places it tied for sixth in the court show genre (behind repeats of Teisėjas Judy, Karštas suolas, Liaudies teismas, teisėjas Matisasir Skyrybų teismas).

Currently still in production, Teisėjas Džeris will remain on the air through September. There is no word, meanwhile, on the renewal status of the distributor’s Maury ir The Steve Wilkos Show, which are on the tail-end of their current two season renewals.
