Elonas muskusas, the CEO of Tesla and the new owner of Twitter, urged his 114 Million Twitter followers to vote for a Republican-led Congress on Tuesday.
The Biden administration and Democrats have come under fire from Musk for their plans to tax millionaires and offer additional tax breaks for union-made electric vehicles. Tesla’s American manufacturing facilities are not unionized yet.
To independent-minded voters:
Shared power curbs the worst excesses of both parties, therefore I recommend voting for a Republican Congress, given that the Presidency is Democratic.

Republicans are expected to gain a majority in the House of Representatives in Tuesday’s elections, while neutral election experts have given the Senate a toss-up rating.
They could use a majority in either chamber to block Biden’s legislative efforts and start inquiries into his family and administration, which may be highly divisive.
Musk further wrote:
“Hardcore Democrats or Republicans never vote for the other side, so independent voters are the ones who actually decide who’s in charge!”
However, Musk later clarified that historically his party affiliation had been Independent, with an actual voting history of entirely Democrat until this year.
On November 8, the U.S. will vote in one of the most competitive elections ever for the Senate and the House of Congress.
